Entering The Fray

The central part of the naturist beach has a reputation, or at least a nickname. Some call it the Bay of Pigs. We called it the fray. Entering felt like stepping into chaos – exhilarating, raw, something you needed to gird your loins for, which was ironic: nobody wore a stitch.

Stepping down from the cool train carriage in Agde, the hot, heavy air hit us immediately: smelling of pine and the salty Mediterranean. After 8 hours by train from London, Kala and I had reached the market town just 6km from our destination.
